Volkite 50, whose Trimonoran lower body was developed by Dutch engineer G. Jelle Bilkert and designed by yacht designer Baran Akalın as 50 feet, after water tests were carried out in the Netherlands; with her innovative infrastructure, wide hull and strikingly strong lines, she has earned the right to become the world's first trimonoran sailboat.

Volkite 50, as a sailing boat project to be produced in Turkey for the first time in the world, was accepted as a support project by the government’s R&D Support Institution “Bilişim Valley” and the work has begun.

Thanks to her three-section ergonomic infrastructure and 4 hydrofoils, the Volkite 50 provides 30% more speed and 30% less fuel consumption compared to a single hull when compared to other boats of the same size; she has a balanced sailing comfort like in catamarans, and has the opportunity to enter even shallow waters, since there is no need for a keel (vertical fin) used as in single hulls.

Volkite 50 is spacious and comfortable as she can be produced wider than other single hull sailboats thanks to her trimonoran substructure and side wings.
